In a resolute pursuit of revitalizing, conserving, preserving, and propelling the age-old martial art Gatka into the realm of recognized sports, the Asian Gatka Federation (AGF) formed in the year 2015 and earned its official registration in 2018. The AGF proudly carries affiliations with the World Gatka Federation (WGF) and the International Sikh Martial Art Council (ISMAC), forging a united front with these preeminent Gatka bodies. Our collective objective is to elevate Gatka's stature and global appeal.

The AGF is unwavering in its commitment to secure rightful acknowledgment and esteemed status for Gatka as a distinguished sport across the diverse landscape of Asian nations, with a keen eye on its inclusion in the prestigious Asian Games besides other Asian competitions. One of our primary goals is to accomplish just that. To advance this purpose, the AGF has joined forces with WGF, outlining comprehensive plans that encompass elite training, informative seminars, enlightening workshops, and the orchestration of international competitions meticulously aligned with the recognized International Gatka Rules and Regulations promulgated by the WGF. In tandem, the AGF has pledged to lead in-depth scientific research initiatives and foster advanced academic facilities tailored for the promising Gatkabaaz (Gatka practitioners) within the Asian expanse.

This collective mission, marked by its selflessness and dedication, aspires to raise a clarion call of awareness for this ancient martial art. Our concerted campaign is aimed at breathing new life into this historically significant, albeit sometimes overlooked, traditional martial discipline.
