Foundational structure & Continental unity
· Establishing and recognising National Gatka Federations in 12 Asian countries and creating the continent’s first central governing and regulatory body for the sport.
· Spearheading the adoption of international rulebook and competition format, implemented with the global standards by World Gatka Federation (WGF) and ensuring fairness and consistency across all member nations.
Pioneering premier events & Global recognition
· Proudly organising the first Asian Gatka Championship – 2025 in March 2026, a historic event featuring about 10 national teams from the continent and setting a new benchmark for competitive Gatka sport.
· Establishing key partnerships with national sports organisations, major universities, cultural foundations and defence academies to drive athlete development, fund grassroots programs and integrate Gatka into broader sporting and cultural ecosystems.
Modernization & Capacity building
· Implemented certified international safety equipment, digital coaching platforms and a cloud-based tournament management system to enhance training, safety and the spectator experience.
· Certifying new generation of coaches and referees through intensive regional workshops and seminars guaranteeing world-class instruction and officiating to elevate the quality and safety of the sport at every level.
Grassroots engagement & Cultural promotion
· To amplify Gatka’s profile the AGF will host demonstration tours and self-defence seminars in major metropolitan centers, successfully engaging youth audiences and highlighting Gatka’s dynamic blend of rich cultural heritage and modern athleticism.
These achievements are not just checkpoints; they are the bedrock of our next phase. The AGF is committed to elevating Gatka beyond a sport into a powerful symbol of Asian heritage, inclusivity and unparalleled sporting excellence.
